About Jake…
Hey my name is Jake Cantrell and I am 20 years old from Kennesaw, Ga…this is my page on this here Aaron Keyes worship school blog. I am stoked to be here and I am excited for what all the Lord has in store. It has already been an amazing two months doing life with these guys here and in this community. I am so full already and can’t even imagine being able to learn more, but its going to happen! Keep checking back, excited to share with you guys what God’s been doing here through this amazing time of life living, community building, and learning.
I first heard of Aaron’s school through some friends about a year ago. At the time I wasn’t even leading worship, so I really didn’t think anything of it, other then it sounded like a great thing for hungry worship leaders. I started leading worship in February of this year as a result of a series of seemingly random events taking place; looking back at it now I realize that God’s hand was on everything from the start. Anyways, one day in the spring I decided that I really didn’t want to to sign up for classes in the fall at Kennesaw State University, where I was enrolled. I don’t think anyone knew what I was going to do, including myself, but I really wasn’t feeling connected to school. One day sometime in early June, I came across Aaron’s myspace, which lead me to the worship school web page. Immediately the Lord pulled my heart in this direction and the rest is history. I am so grateful for this opportunity and feel very fortunate to be able to be apart of this. It has been a great experience thus far, I am loving every second of it!
